FUYI is an Erasmus+ KA3 project with the aim to facilitate the emergence of positive peer role models and to boost the self-esteem, lobbying power, and equality of chances of young people from Roma settlements and young migrants.

FUYI (From Us to You International) is an Erasmus+ KA3 project with the aims to facilitate the emergence of positive peer role models and to boost the self-esteem, the lobbying power and the equality of chances of the youth of Roma settlements and young migrants.

What are FUYI’s challenges?
Related to targeted youth, Roma and migrant youth, the project tackles discrimination, early school drop-off, and unemployment.
It improves volunteering and competence development by supporting the emergence of positive peer role models and strengthening their lobbying power.
How is it designed?
FUYI uses a methodology based on inclusive, holistic and positive approach and the synergy of outdoor experiential education and solution focus coaching.
Main project activities in each participating country include the upscaled From Us to You best practice and project-long training of 6 young trainers from Roma settlements and migrant youth communities, who facilitate a voluntary training and event for another 20 young Romas and migrants.
FUYI elements
- Train the trainer course.
- Local FUY youth projects run in Hungary, Romania, The Netherlands, and Slovakia.
- Facilitation training for junior trainers, team building, planning, site inspections, volunteering actions, and closing events.
- Job shadowing countries support each other during implementations.
- Harvesting Seminar – The Netherlands.
- Negotiations with policy makers for sustainability and change.
- Source Seminar – Hungary.
- Collection of Easy to Learn and Use toolkit of the two methods, e-book, local adaptation schemes, and sustainability and further upscaling strategy.
