Inclusion through nature and art

DONNA is a two-year partnership project that strengthens the skills of adult educators working with marginalized women through non-formal education methods rooted in art, nature, and community.

By combining innovative practices such as improvisation theatre, outdoor education, art expression and gender equality facilitation, the project fosters empowerment, inclusion, and wellbeing in local communities across Hungary, Latvia, Spain, and Italy.

Integrating approaches for women empowerment

The DONNA – New Path for Inclusion project builds the capacity and resources of adult educators supporting women.
Partner organizations visit each other to explore and experience diverse methods: improvisation theatre, outdoor education, art expression, and gender equality facilitation.
These methods are combined into a cohesive, blended approach tailored to support marginalized women.
Adult educators are trained in the integrated approach through peer learning, online courses, and interactive activities.
The approach is adapted and tested locally through the creation of sustainable wo-men’s circles for empowerment.
Discrimination is addressed through creative awareness campaigns and the "Colours for Equality" community paintings and social media initiative.
Outcomes are shared via e-books, online courses, and professional events in Latvia, Spain, Italy, and Hungary.

Easy-to-Use Tools Collection: Practical tools to support adult educators in implementing the integrated non-formal methods.
Guide to Facilitate “Wo-men Circles”: A step-by-step manual to create and sustain empowering community groups for women.
“Colours for Equality” Campaign: Creative actions and a social media campaign raising awareness on discrimination and promoting inclusion.
Online Courses: Interactive digital learning modules for adult educators, based on the DONNA digital book and tested practices.
“Wo-men’s Circles” – Locally adapted empowerment groups that offer peer support, learning, and community building for marginalized women.
Professional Dissemination Events – Seminars, conferences and expert talks in Latvia, Spain, Italy, and Hungary to share project results with educators, stakeholders, and the wider public.

DONNA – New Path for Inclusion is a KA2 strategic partnership project of the European Union.
Implementation period: May 2024 – December 2025
