OUR METHODS

Experiential learning is the process of learning through experience, and is more specifically defined as “learning through reflection on doing”. Going through a direct experience will teach correct behavior response, self-control, self-knowledge.

Reflection is a crucial part of the experiential learning process. A skilled facilitator, asking the right questions and guiding reflective conversation after an experience, can help open a gateway to powerful new thinking and learning.

 OTHER METHODS

THEATER TECHNIQUES

We use the effects of theater techniques to instigate self-discovery and personal development. This method contains verbal and movement elements. Mainly using “physical theater” techniques.

TCI – THEME-CENTERED INTERACTION

In essence it is the goal of TCI to facilitate the interaction between tasks and individuals in order to encourage the development of factual, social and self-competence. Individuals are seen holistically, meaning that there is room for the three dimensions of body, soul and mind. This allows for a working atmosphere that frees motivation and creative potentials.
Facilitating and leading groups according to the TCI concept permits a style of leadership that combines competence, motivation, mutual esteem and goal orientation. It is appropriate for all areas in which people need to work together successfully in all kinds of teams and groups – e.g. management, education, social work. TCI is also helpful for people, who desire to use it to structure their personal lives creatively.

Coaching

Coaching is training or development in which a person called a coach supports, advises and guides a learner in achieving a specific personal or professional goal.

Professional coaching uses a range of communication skills (such as targeted restatements, listening, questioning, clarifying etc.) to help clients shift their perspectives and thereby discover different approaches to achieve their goals.

SOLUTION FOCUSED COACHING

Solution Focused Coaching employs questions that focus and refocus the coaching sessions on solutions, clients’ strengths and on the future. Instead of assessing problems we focus on the positive traits and visions.

Clients are usually surprised how quickly positive changes take place. Usually in a few sessions clients have learned a different way of thinking about their lives, their problems and how to focus on solutions.

This method was developed by Steve de Shazer and Kim Berg during the 1980s in the USA. The success of this method is proven by many researches carried out worldwide.

INTEGRATED EXPRESSION & DANCE TECHNIQUES

This method was developed by Wilfried Gürtler, German psychotherapist. The processes and techniques reflect the complex human context and situation.

Dance is such a self-discovering activity that allows non-verbal expression. Improvisation will encourage participants to be in the now, focus on their feelings and learn from the experience. Beside the movement and dance elements, many other art forms were integrated to further increase the variety of expression methods like painting, creative art activities and musical elements.

WHY IS EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING METHOD SO SPECIAL?

Experiential learning method is a wonderful tool, which conveys knowledge through experience that would be difficult to teach verbally. It does not tell you what you have to do instead it places you into real-life situations through a well designed task series. The experience you go through will show you which solution is the best for you while you discover your hidden talents and resources.

IN WHICH AREA DO I HAVE TO DEVELOP?

Nobody can tell you that. There are some cognitive and social skills that can be acquired through life without notice. Never the less there is always room for development. Our techniques will enhance courage, openness, tolerance, conflict management, communication & cooperation skills and so on.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING TRAINING AND TEAM BUILDING?

First of all during the experiential learning training the experience is a tool and not the goal. Meaning that the aim of all experiences is learning and development, not just enjoyment. Without joy there is no real motivation, therefore we believe that the feeling of flow is the driving force of the experiential learning tasks and challenges.

Secondly the closing part of all the training is a group coaching or valuation session lead by the trainers. This is an extremely important section of the training as it will help participants to draw the right conclusions and transfer the gained knowledge into everyday life. The right questions at the right time will transfer the activities you have been through into real-life practical examples and usually will result in the “Aha” or recognition experience.

WHAT CAN WE PROMISE?

We will carefully design the program of the training to focus the challenges to best suit the needs of the group. Besides the guaranteed joy, movement and the spending your time usefully, we will provide opportunity for personal development and instigate positive change in your life.
